Barbara Maloney, Director of Faith Formation

Barbara has served as Faith Formation Director at Queen of Heaven for almost 10 years. Prior to that she served in various capacities of faith formation and pastoral administration at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish as far back as 1980. As Director of Faith Formation at Queen of Heaven Parish, Mrs. Maloney is the oversight person for faith formation programs. She is directly responsible for the inter-generational faith formation program for Pre–K through 10th grade, for various program options for grades seven through ten and the Confirmation process for grade eleven.  Along with these responsibilities, Mrs. Maloney is the oversight person for primary level faith formation and sacramental preparation programs for the parish and works closely with the coordinator of these programs.

Barb has been married for 45 years to Deacon Tim Maloney. They have 5 children and 3 grandchildren. Barb’s favorite thing to do is spend time with family and travel! She loves spending time at the beach and looks forward to the day she retires to her dream home on a beach somewhere yet to be determined!

Sheila Thie, Secretary of Faith Formation

Sheila has been the Faith Formation Secretary at Queen of Heaven for over twenty years. Offering a warm smile and a friendly welcome, she is the first point of contact for many families with children in our parish. Sheila is married with three wonderful children. She enjoys reading, traveling with family and friends and most of all spending time with and spoiling her five beautiful grandchildren.

Elaine Kishbaugh, Coordinator of Faith Formation, Grades K-6

Elaine has been the Coordinator of Faith Formation for grades K-6 since 2007. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 29 years and has 3 daughters.  Elaine has participated in music ministry for over 30 years at her home parish and taught various religion classes, including RCIA. Besides Queen of Heaven, she works at a local law firm full time, enjoys spending time with her family and vacationing in the Caribbean.  Elaine’s favorite activity is relaxing in the early mornings alone on the beach watching the sunrise while praying.

Betsy Amico, Director of Youth Ministry

Betsy has been the Director of Youth Ministry at Queen of Heaven since 2008. She is blessed to have grown up in a Life Teen parish, where God took hold of her heart and led her into working in youth ministry. The greatest joy Betsy finds in serving teens is watching them light up the first time they really get it – that Jesus is real, living, present in their lives and that He loves them. Betsy’s bucket list includes living a life that makes Satan angry, owning a Chick Fil-A, visiting every Basilica in the US and making the Camino. Outside of “work” she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family – especially her nieces and nephews.
